Plan for the holiday season with a content calendar!

We hate to be the bearer of bad (or good) news, but the 2016 holiday season is knocking on our door, and you need to get your business ready for the onslaught of customers. The best way to do that is with acontent calendar. A content calendar is a calendar (lol) that you set up specific sales, social media campaigns, new PPC campaigns and more on. You set the start date, end date, or post date for social media posts. This will help keep you level-headed when dealing with a lot of new customers that are walking through your door.

LET’S TAKE A LOOK AT A FEW KEY DATES:

  • Halloween, Monday, October 31
  • Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 24
  • Black Friday, Friday, November 25
  • Small Business Saturday, Saturday, November 26th
  • Cyber Monday, Monday, November 28th
  • Christmas Eve, Saturday, December 24th
  • Christmas Day, Sunday, December 25th

This means you pretty much have a month until holidays start to roll in, some may not count Halloween, but here at Duo we see Halloween as a “let’s finalize our content calendar and holiday campaigns” day.

Take the time now, plan out some posts, schedule new posts on Facebook, Twitter, etc. Get some blog posts going and most of all, figure out how to take advantage of the increase in consumer spending over the next two months!
